IAN FRICKER

Producer

Ian has been a Theatre Producer since 1989.

Productions include the West End musical Blues in the Night with Stephanie Lawrence, Anthony Shaffer's Sleuth, Simon Gray's Hidden Laughter, Inside Job, Double Edge, Same Time Next Year with Gemma Craven, Ray Cooney's Funny Money and Donald Churchill's Moment of Weakness starring Liza Goddard & Christopher Timothy. Ian also produced Murder by Misadventure staring Gerald Harper & William Gaunt, which transferred to London's Vaudeville Theatre and Joe Orton's Loot also at London's Vaudeville Theatre which subsequently toured with Michael Elphick & Letitia Dean.

Other productions include Terence Frisby's Funny About Love starring Stephanie Beacham & Sean Maguire, The Adjustment starring Stephanie Powers & Michael Brandon, Dusty - The Musical, four Alan Ayckbourn plays - Relatively Speaking with John Challis & Sue Holderness, Time and Time Again, Taking Steps and Confusions; Nobody's Perfect starring Stephanie Beacham & Simon Williams, the musical Barnum, Richard Harris' Stepping Out, a new comedy You're Only Young Twice, Simon Williams' Nobody's Fool, Henry James' Daisy Miller with an all star cast and two productions of William Douglas-Home's The Kingfisher, the first with Rosemary Leach & Francis Matthews, the second with Honor Blackman & Francis Matthews, a new adaptation of Jerome K Jerome's Three Men in a Boat starring Clive Francis, Neil Stacey and Simon Ward.

In 2005, Ian co-produced the critically acclaimed revival of Christopher Hampton's The Philanthropist with the Donmar Warehouse for which Simon Russell Beale won the Evening Standard Award for Best Actor.

Most recent productions were Visiting Mr. Green starring Warren Mitchell which toured the UK and enjoyed a successful West End run, Brief Lives with Roy Dotrice which is also due to tour Australia & New Zealand in 2009, a new adaptation of The Hound of The Baskervilles with Peter Egan & Philip Franks and Round The Horne - unseen and uncut based on the popular radio show.

Ian is also executive producer for The Blues Brothers Party (UK and Japanese Tour).
